Prestwood  Homes Ltd was founded by Sue and Lynda Hall in 1997.  Sadly Sue passed away in September 2007 but the good work as it was originally intended continues. As a Company, we offer unrivalled standards of professional care in beautiful locations across North Wales, Prestwood Homes are highly regarded and well respected through Wales and England.

Our aim is to enable our service users to overcome the difficulties that have caused them to lose their place in society, and to attain the highest level of functioning they are capable of. The Service User’s right to an ordinary life is upheld at all times.

Prestwood’s policy is of no restraint to be used on service users unless an individual service user’s Multi-Disciplinary Team has agreed its use and staff are specifically trained in restraint methods applicable to the individual Service User only. All staff are trained in non-violent crisis intervention techniques by a qualified instructor, including the use of verbal de-escalation of an incident and also self defence using minimum force. Behavioural management is applied by the principle of positive re-enforcement of good behaviour and ignoring negative or inappropriate behaviour whenever possible.

Our staff are selected for their qualities of reliability, integrity, skill, friendliness and professionalism. They are carefully screened and references checked thoroughly. All staff are required to be Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked. Above all we respect our service users right to lead a normal life and believe that Prestwood  Homes offer a high quality, professional service which allows our people to lead dignified lives, building self-respect and self-esteem

Registered with C.S.S.I.W, Sarn Mynach, Llandudno Junction, Conwy, LL31 9RZ as independently owned Small Homes. The homes are owned and managed by CareTech .

Based at Head Office in Colwyn Bay, Prestwood is Managed by Operational  Manager, Natalie Toner.  We are supported by a dedicated Administration team who are professional and experienced but always friendly and welcoming.

Each of the Prestwood  Homes are headed by qualified and experienced House Managers. Every manager is dedicated to one house, meaning that there is a good level of continuity, allowing strong relationships and high levels of trust to build between service users and those who care for them. All our staff are fully trained and are supported through continued professional development throughout their careers. For more information see the section on “staffing”.
